A good balance transfer option for anyone with excellent credit and high-interest balances to transfer who would also like to reduce the price they pay at the pump and save even more with online purchases.

The Good

Get 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers. Bonus points can be redeemed as cash, credit or merchandise, cardholders can also save up to 20% at select online retailers.

The Not So Good

5% bonus at pump is only valid on first $100 per month; 1% bonus isn’t available until purchases exceed $3000. Depending on credit history, regular APR could be could be high.

CARD DESCRIPTION

If you have good credit, the Discover Open Road(SM) card is a great cash back rewards credit card. You can save up to 5% each time you fill up with gas and also earn 1% cash back rewards on all other purchases that you can later redeem for cash, credit to your card or for merchandise at select retailers.

As a balance transfer card the Discover® Open Road(SM) card is a terrific choice with 0% APR for 12 months on balances transferred and 0% on purchases for the first six months. This card’s Cashback Bonus program also provides an excellent opportunity to reduce the price of gasoline and save on other purchases.

The Discover Open Road card will help save money for individuals who travel or commute by car on a regular basis. This gas credit card pays you up to 5% cash back when you fill-up on gas at any gas station, making it a great opportunity to save on rising fuel costs.
