A secured card is a great option for those who are looking to improve their credit, but can’t get approved for a traditional unsecured credit card, or, for those who wish to have a higher credit line that other issuers simply can’t give them. The OpenSky® Secured Visa® Credit Card allows their card holders to start building their credit, with the minimum credit line being $200. They do report to credit bureaus, ensuring that you'll be able to build credit with responsible use.
The online application is quick and easy and applicants do not need to have a checking account to get approved. Fees that are attached with this card are pretty typical with the APR at 24.89% (variable) and an annual fee of $35.
The terms and conditions of the card state penalty fees of Up to $41 . A deposit is required at the time of application since approvals are instant and no checking account is required. This card will work anywhere Visa is accepted.
This secured card is right in the middle in terms of rates and fees. The annual fee is pretty low compared to similar credit cards.
There is no credit check necessary and you don't need a checking account either. A low annual fee and the potential for a high credit line makes this a great choice if you're looking for a solid secured credit card.
While this card does earn rewards, it does not come with many other bells and whistles. A secured card may not be your top choice, but it’s essential to building your credit.
